PE Mission Statement

At Discovery Primary School our mission for PE is to:

• Ensure children appreciate a healthy lifestyle.
• Have access to a variety of sports through PE lessons and through lunchtime and after school clubs.
• Provide children with opportunities to develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
• Ensure children are achieving and experience success within their own ability in PE.
• Create links between local secondary schools and community clubs to support our children in their growth in PE and sport both in Discovery and beyond.
• Ensure a varied PE curriculum and cross curricular activities have a positive influence on both academic achievement and well being.
