At Discovery Primary School we work hard to ensure that all learners make excellent progress and reach their goals. We want to ensure that we are preparing children for the next stage of their learning and that they are meeting the National Curriculum expectations. We are incredibly proud of all our pupils’ achievements.
Throughout the academic year, we use assessment to carefully consider what each child has achieved and to identify any gaps in their learning. Through regular assessment teachers are able to identify learning needs which are addressed through precision teaching and specific interventions.
The government requires that pupil attainment data is collected at:
The end of Early Years Foundation Stage (Summer of Reception)
End of Year 1 – Phonics Screening
The end of Key stage 1 (Summer of year 2)
The end of Key stage 2 (Summer of year 6)
