Food in School

School Dinners

We have an onsite kitchen in which our school dinners are prepared and cooked by the kitchen staff. They use fresh ingredients to prepare a range of healthy meals, inlcuding a vegetarian option everyday and Halal options three days a week.

The current price of school meals is £13.75 per week (£2.75 per day). School dinners are universally free for children in Reception to Year 2.

Packed Lunches

Children who choose not to have a school dinner are able to bring a packed lunch to school. We are a healthy school and as such we promote healthy lunches in school.  A biscuit or cereal bar can be part of the packed lunch but children are not allowed to bring in fizzy drinks or sweets.

We are strictly a no nuts school.

Fruit in School

The Government currently provides one piece of fruit each day for all children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  This is offered to the children at a suitable time in the morning. Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 may bring a piece of fruit for morning break.
